hey! we're borrowing my old photography business partner's nikon d80 with a nikkor 60mm 1:2.8 lens for the semester (oliver is in a photography class). so, the pictures i've taken lately have been with that. otherwise, we just have a little canon digital elph point & shoot. it makes such a big difference to have a nice camera, but it makes an even bigger difference to have a nice lens. i'm hoping my friend will let me buy this off him someday...but until then, i'll just borrow it here and there :) if you're in the market for a digital slr, i HIGHLY recommend getting an additional lens (other than the one that comes with the camera) where the aperture will go down to 1.8, or 2.8 is good too. that's what makes the soft blur on the depths of the picture that aren't in focus and give it that "pro" look really easily. oh, and use natural light as much as possible. so yeah, happy picture taking! your little one is cute as a button!! makes picture taking a lot easier if you have subjects as cute as ours!! :)
what kind of camera do you have katie? i love all your pictures!
